Teen Readers are Awesome.

Do you have any idea how many of them are out there with a passion reading and writing about books?

I didn't either, until I wrote one myself. It's not even out yet, but they're interested and excited and already creating a buzz. They are the biggest champions of YA fiction around, and it's pretty impressive to see.

One of them, a great girl named Kelsey, runs The Book Scout, an amazing site that has nearly 700 followers to date. She interviewed me today about The Pull of Gravity at that link. She's also launching a new site, The (Teen) Book Scene together with another teen blogger where they will, among other things, host YA blog tours.

And she's just one awesome young adult doing this kind of thing. I gotta admit that I'm a bit jealous that there was no world wide web of blogging when I was a teen. I was an avid 4-5 book a week kid and would have loved to have done this kind of thing.

Those of you that think that education and reading and a general passion for good books is dead or waning, check out a few of these sites (each site has links to several others).

These kids are really pretty impressive.

In addition to The Book Scout and The (Teen) Book Scene, here are just a mere few! (feel free to add yours in the comments section if you are reading! :)). If you have kids who are readers, these are the places for them!

  1. Thanks for the great post, we bloggers would be nothing without awesome authors like you! Thanks again for the support and looking forward to planning your tour in the future! :)

  2. Just saw your awesome new website. Looks great! And can't believe I wasn't a follower before on your blog! Am now!

  3. Thanks, TerryLynn. Nice to see you here. :D

  4. Oh, I just found your blog, but so far I'm loving it :D

You're also very supportive of YA bloggers and writers and all that jazz, which is quite happy-making. I don't have very many followers, but I do review and write about, you know, writing. Hah, so I guess I'll add my blog here too, if you don't mind.

I really do love this blog. I'm glad I found you!

  5. I checked you out. I love your blog too. You're a writer as well... and cute as a button. Good luck to you. And see you around (yay!).
